Three important factors determining the effectiveness of microbial fertilizer

1. Soil moisture

After applying biological fertilizer, it is important to pay attention to reasonable watering, and it is best to choose a sunny morning with small amounts of water. This can not only increase soil temperature, but also allow for ventilation and moisture removal. It is best to perform hoeing after watering to increase soil permeability and facilitate the effectiveness of biological bacteria.

2. Soil temperature

It is understood that the biological bacteria in biological fertilizer are generally most active in soil at temperatures ranging from 18 ℃ to 25 ℃. Life activity begins to decrease below 15 ℃, and activity becomes weak or even dormant below 10 ℃. This requires first controlling the temperature inside the greenhouse to promote a rise in ground temperature.


Generally, the temperature inside the greenhouse should be maintained between 25 ℃ and 30 ℃ during the day. At night, the temperature inside the greenhouse should be low. To avoid soil temperature loss and maintain a constant soil temperature, in addition to using plastic film covering, crop straw can be covered in the operating area.

3. Soil pH

The data shows that soil pH values between 6.5 and 7.5 are most suitable for the reproduction of biological bacteria. Vegetable farmers can modify their soil according to their own conditions to achieve a soil pH value of 6.5 to 7.5, ensuring the large-scale reproduction of biological bacteria.

In addition, microbial fertilizers mainly rely on decomposing organic matter in the soil to survive, reproduce, and transform nutrients. Therefore, microbial fertilizer needs to be used in conjunction with organic fertilizer. If the organic matter in the soil is too scarce, using too much microbial fertilizer will not be effective.
